Mike Brown: Another Child Victim

Michael Brown, 18, gunned down in Ferguson, Missouri by unknown police officer on Saturday, August 9th, 2014 and left on the street for 4 hours before his body was removed.

I personally do not even know where to begin. My heart goes out to this boy's family. He doesn't look at all threatening. Reports state that he was a good kid on his way to college. He was gunned down in the middle of the streets just blocks from his grandmothers home. His friends openly spoke of his last moments. It is all so sad, and another child's life has been taken. It seems that this Unidentified MURDERER Police Officer is the one solely being protected. An unarmed teen shot multiple times? There is no excuse! There are no apologies! What little they do offer just adds insult to injury and those people are most certainly not taking this laying down. I am not a huge fan of rioting, because rioting gives police the 'right' to use whatever tactics necessary to subdue a rioting crowd. When riots happen it is our own homes, businesses, and communities that suffer. God forbid any rioting spreads outside of their immediate community. The FBI stepping in may not be enough for them, it surely would not be enough for me, for my son. With that being said, I admire the people of Ferguson. Trayvon Martin is probably the reason why they went the route they have taken. It seems the UIO has already gotten off because he is now on paid leave. Paid leave? For shooting an unarmed teenager? This is ludicrous, beyond unbelievable! The people of Ferguson has drawn their line in the sand and they are trying to reach the racist masses of police all over the country when they let it be known, 'YOU CANNOT KILL OUR CHILDREN AND GET A FREE PASS!' They tried peaceful protest and were met with indifference, violence, and tear gas. President Obama released a statement:
"The death of Michael Brown is heartbreaking, and Michelle and I send our deepest condolences to his family and his community at this very difficult time. As Attorney General Holder has indicated, the Department of Justice is investigating the situation along with local officials, and they will continue to direct resources to the case as needed. I know the events of the past few days have prompted strong passions, but as details unfold, I urge everyone in Ferguson, Missouri, and across the country, to remember this young man through reflection and understanding. We should comfort each other and talk with one another in a way that heals, not in a way that wounds. Along with our prayers, that's what Michael and his family, and our broader American community, deserve." Source
This pointless death, a young man that had a bright future, that was striving and ultimately succeeded in gaining a high school diploma, gunned down on the streets by someone that is supposed to protect and serve. I believe this particular riot was necessary if someone is going to be held accountable to another unarmed teenager murdered by a police officer. This is happening everywhere and more light needs to be shed on what's going on. I hope his mother manages to get through her loss and I send all my prayers to his family and friends. People are angry and the only thing that will diffuse the situation is to charge the murderer as such.
