Hey beautiful people,Happy new month!!!
Feels really good to say that again after my recent wellness hiatus...trust me two months and change is a really long time and boy am I glad I'm back!
I could go on ahead to give a profound explanation for my absence but for want of time I'm just going to go with the abridged version - I couldn't quite find the balance between work and this baby over here plus I wasn't quite feeling myself health-wise so lots of stress, lots of work and a struggling me. But as with all babies, you can't help but love them not to mention miss them, no matter how crazy busy you are. I did some re-evaluating, worked out a few kinks so here I am and can I just say it feels really good to be writing again (look at me sounding like some author haha). I missed our dynamic so much and let's just say we have loads of catching up to do but one day at a time, yeah?

The November edition of Mente de Moda tagged 'RetroGrade' took place on Sunday the 8th, at Bay Lounge Lekki and of course it was yet another opportunity to shop and then shop some more. It kicked off around 12noon but as a typical Nigerian, I waltzed in around 3.20pm or thereabout and then I ran out around 5.30pm. Lots of items to purchase and then some to just feast one's eyes on because at that point you realize it's the beginning of the month and a broke future looks pretty bleak.I suck at taking my own advice these days which is why I dragged my friend Collette along to keep me grounded and keep my credit card on lockdown if the spending gets too much or better still, make a good case as to why I shouldn't purchase an item. Well she did a good job in the beginning and then I have no idea what happened to our resolve because it was gone just as quickly as it was made so here we are now.
Ultimately it was a pretty fun soirée with good music, plenty laughs and healthy conversation...oh and who doesn't love the smell of retail in the evening or anytime for that matter? There were plenty stands, I went by most of them and purchased some items from the Eve & Tribe Stand (of course that was a no-brainer cos you guys know how much I love them) and Soul Orange Vintage (as a regular vintage lover). I bought some tees and makeup from other stands and oh I got shampoo for the kinks. The thing is I didn't really get the names of most of the stands so I can't really put up names. I did take some pictures though they aren't so many of them and sadly I wasn't paying that much attention to taking good quality pictures so I apologize.

On my way out!

I'll probably show you guys what I bought when I use or style them in time cos I haven't gotten around to taking them pictures cos of my late nights this past week.
So guys that's all of it from over here and I hope you missed me just as much as I missed you.
Till our next date my lovelies, I remain yours always.
Love,
Ify*
