I always love a moisturising lip product especially when the weather is cold and my lips are insanely chapped. Aside from the Revlon Lip Butters, what else is out there with the same results?
MeMeMe cosmetics may just have the answer with their Long-Wear Satin Lip Creams. Containing moisturising ingredients Shea Butter and Vitamin E they promise to care for lips whilst giving a long lasting hit of color to the lips.
I have the shade China Rose (which might not be available anymore but Persian Pink is similar) which is a lovely dusky, rose shade that looks soft and feminine on the lips. If you don’t like obvious lip colours this would be perfect for you and it looks great with a darker eye.
It does feel very creamy on the lips. So much so you think it is going to slide right off. It feels quite thick and nourishing when you apply it but I do worry I am going to squish it as it seems so pliable. The color pay-off is amazing and very true to the bullet. The finish is quite creamy and glossy. As it is so creamy it doesn’t last as long as a normal lipstick. Maybe a couple of hours before you need to reapply. As it is a nourishing formula you are not going to get the wear out of this as you would a matte lipstick with a harder texture. However it is so easy to apply, you can pop this on throughout the day just like a lip balm and be good to go. But I think the name of this product is slightly misleading, so don’t buy this if you want something for a night out that is going to last through drinks and dancing.
The packaging of this is so pretty too, with intricate embossing on the side which adds a beautiful edge, so you won’t feel ashamed to whip this out on the bus to work.
All in all, it has great colour, makes lips feel great and isn’t too expensive. Just don’t be swayed by the ‘long-wear’ promise.
