As you know from my recent posts, brows have become more of a ‘thing’ in my daily make up routine, partly thanks to a new product from Soap & Glory (see post) and partly because of this.
The Arch Angel from MeMeMe is a dual purpose product that aims to define, tame and highlight the brows. One end is a tinted brow gel that sets and holds brows in place, while the other end has a shimmering highlighter.
A great name and great packaging, MeMeMe products always look sweet and like a lot of thought has gone into the design.
But what about the product?
Well, the brow gel is great. You apply it with the small brush (like a mini mascara wand) by combing it through the brows. It adds some texture and colour to sparse brows and once it sets it keeps them in place all day and it doesn’t smudge or lose colour. My only problem is the colour. It is only available in one shade (a sort of mid-brown) so great for brunettes. But blondes like me? If I use it sparingly I can get away with it. By brushing on a small amount and then brushing through again with a clean brow comb it looks fine. Slightly darker than my natural brows but not scary. But as a whole this colour is far too dark for me which is a huge shame. Please MeMeMe, make a lighter one for us blondes!
The highlighter is great too. Very shimmery, very light it is easy to blend and a little goes a long way. It is great under the brow bone but you can also use it along the cheekbones too.
I really want to love this product, but the shade just isn’t right for me. But if you have darker hair, this would be ideal. It can add colour to over plucked brows or tame thicker, more unruly ones.
