With Christmas approaching in less than a month, McDonald has introduced the all new Special Festive Menu to celebrate this merry yummy season (available from now till 30 Dec 2015): Clubhouse burgers, Truffle Flavoured Shaker Fries (from $3.25), Red Velvet McFlurry with Oreo Cookie Bits and Coke Float ($2.90 for a small size).
Beef Clubhouse Burger
Juicy Beef patty combined with crispy chicken bacon strips, caramelised onions, tomato, lettuce and tasty white cheddar cheese sandwiched between glazed buns.
Grilled Chicken Clubhouse Burger
Tendered grilled chicken patty combined with crispy chicken bacon strips, caramelised onions, tomato, lettuce and tasty white cheddar cheese sandwiched between glazed buns. The grilled chicken is indeed tender and juicy and I preferred this over the beef clubhouse burger.
Truffle Flavoured Shaker Fries
You have not seen wrongly; yes McDonald now serves truffle fries in this festive season period. There are lots of comment and review on the Truffle seasoning fries online. Some had commented that there was no hints of truffle taste and some had found it too salty. You got to try it yourself to decide on that. Well, with such affordable price for a packet of truffle flavoured fries (available from $3.25) I guess we should not have set too high expectation on the taste. I had added half a pack of truffle seasoning to the fries as I am afraid that it will be too salty. To me half a packet tastes just right.
For the Extra Value Meal, priced at $8.60, you’ll get the standard fries and soft drink. It is worth to top up 80 cents more for the truffle flavoured fries and coke ice cream float.
Red Velvet McFlurry® with Oreo® Cookie Bits
Soft serve ice cream swirled with red velvet and crunchy Oreo cookies bits. Personally, I feel that the Oreo cookies bits have overpowered the taste of red velvet. Guess I still prefer the McFlurry® with Oreo® cookies bits.
Now you will have another choice of venue for get-together festive dining.
