You might have seen me alternate between the MaybellineColossal and Falsies Volum' Express Mascaras in my tutorials. So here's a comparison post -
- Price
Colossal :Rs 350 for 10 ml, Falsies : Rs 475 for 7.5 ml
- Packaging
Colossal : Bright yellow packaging with the brand insignia in bold turquoise as opposed to the purple in the washable version. It has thick, dense wand and the bristles are soft and arranged along the length of the wand. Because of the thick wand - you need to careful while coating the lower and inner lashes.
Falsies : Purple tube packaging with the brand insignia in bold turquoise for both the waterproof and washable version. It has curved, fiber wand that is flexible and bends in a angle to get in between the lashes easily.
- Formula & Curling effect
Colossal : The formula is slightly on the drier side which means - no clumping and leaves black flaky bits at the ends of the lashes. It coats the lashes completely in a single swipe but I like using 2-3 coats for length and boosting the volume. It does not makes the lashes stiff ar weigh them down. it gives subtle lift to the lashes.
Falsies : The formula is slightly wet but dries quickly which means - no flaking, no clumping and gives a false effect to the lashes. The brush picks up quite a bit of product and you need to wipe off the excess on a tissue before application. It adds both length and volume in a single coat. You can give a fuller lash effect by coating then with more than 2 coats. It gives awesome lift and curl to the lashes which stays throughout the day.
- Waterproof and Smudge-proof
Colossal : Comes out only with an Oil cleanser/Makeup remover and smudge if you rub hard.
Falsies : Comes out only with an Oil cleanser/Makeup remover and does not smudge even if you rub it hard.

Final verdictThe Falsies one has better wand, gives fuller lashes and curl compared to the Colossal one.
