My experience wit the product
I purchased this foundation in November last year as I had read some nice reviews of this foundation - that it works well for combination skin. Shade selection was a hitch as there were many shades that matched my foundation and it took me 50 mins to finally decide that Creamy Natural Light 5 is a close match for my skin and does not look ashy.Packaging : comes in a transparent glass bottle with camel colored lockable pump dispenser. The product gets accumulated at the opening of the nozzle and since the pump does not have an external cap over it, the product dries up there and for the next use you get that dried flakes of foundation - which is very unhygienic. Apart from the con - the packaging is sturdy yet bulky, but one does need to be careful though because the glass bottle can break unlike plastic bottles which you can easily
carry in your travel bag and purse.Texture and Consistency : The foundation has a thick creamy liquid consistency which isn't very runny or liquid-y. Because of the creamy consistency, it spread and blends easily without any patchiness or unevenness on my combination skin. The foundation looks very fresh and light on the skin.
Coverage and Finish : after blending, it settles to a medium coverage foundation but it can be layered a bit in areas where you need a little extra coverage with semi-matte finish. It provides enough coverage to even out my redness and blemishes but I don't really skip using concealer on my under eye area. The coverage can be achieved with the different modes of application method - A stippling brush gives more coverage, a damp brush or beauty sponge can sheer out the coverage to a dewy finish and use of fingers gives medium coverage. The finish is incredibly natural and weightless on the skin.
Hydration : The foundation is quite moisturizing on my combination to dry skin and does not emphasize any imperfections or dryness. Due to its airbrush finish - it do minimize pores to some extent to give smooth clear skin.
Staying Power : On my combination to dry skin - the foundation fares well for 8-9 hours (I haven't tested it longer than this). It stays quite well on the skin and doesn’t sink into pores as the day wears off. I also asked my sister to try this out (she has oily skin) and I could notice her T-zone begins to get oily in 4-5 hours making her look dull. A instant touch-up with compact or loose powder do helps but I would recommend oily skin beauties to skip this instead unless you are using a mattifying primer beneath.
On camera : It photographs really well and doesn’t give any ghostly white cast in pictures.
