For setting my brows I have always opted for the good old method of hair spray on a spooly brush. Eyebrow mascara's that I have tried in the past have always been to thick & clumpy for my liking & often left my brows feeling dry & crunchy.
So when Maybelline released a tinted brow mascara that claims it won't streak, clump or flake & for the price of just £4.99 I thought I should give it a try.
Here are my brows not filled in or tinted in either picture, to show the true effect.
Maybelline Brow Drama Sculpting Mascara comes in three shades, deep blonde, medium brown & dark brown, I opted for the latter as I am fairly dark haired. The mascara wand is an unusual shape, a thin dense brush at the end & a round ball at the tip. At first I was confused with how to use it, but have recently discovered the best method is to use the round tip of the brush with light pressure at the thick of the brow & apply more pressure using the thin part of the brush when dragging the brush through the length of the brow. After doing this I like to use the ball of the wand & brush my hairs up to set into the shape I like for my brows & they stay in place for the rest of my day.Maybelline Brow Drama Sculpting Mascara really Combes through each of the hairs, giving my brows a naturally defined look that I haven't been able to achieve with any brow mascara's I've tried in my past. The color pay off is very minimal so I wouldn't rely on this mascara for shading in my brows.
So overall Maybelline Brow Drama Sculpting Mascara is a big hit for me. With great staying power, hair definition AND without leaving them dry & crunchy = Brow perfection.
