I am an unashamed fan of wrap kits. I regularly use the Old El Paso Fajita wrap kits as they are just so quick, convenient and easy. They’re the perfect mates meals – add a bottle of crisp pinot and you’ve really got something. Obviously, they don’t win for fancy ‘I need to Impress’ food, but for duvet days or gossiping with the girls you can’t beat them. So, imagine my elation when I saw these new Wrap kits from Sharwoods. Available in tikka, balti and jalfrezi I simply could not resist.
Enough to feed 4 all you need to add is 500 g of chicken, a pepper and an onion. I always deviate from the suggestions slightly so used two peppers and a bit less chicken to feed me and the boy – this was more than enough for 2 wraps each.
To get started slice the peppers, onion and chicken.
Preheat the oven to 200 C, and wrap chapattis in tin foil ready to heat.
Heat 2 teaspoons of oil in a pan and fry chicken until golden.
Add peppers and onion frying until chicken cooked.
Add spice blend, stir and leave for a few mins. Place chapattis in oven and heat for 10 mins.
Add tikka sauce stir and leave to heat throughly.
Wrap and serve with a crisp glass of white. And enjoy.
I tried the Tikka kit which was delicious, and will definitely be using the others. If you happen to be in Tesco, the kit is currently on offer at a very reasonable £1.64 so snap them up and keep in the cupboard for rainy days.
