Manicure Monday || Sensationail

By Yougottabegorgeousx @yougottabgorgex
I got this kit way back for Christmas and I have used it loads, I can't believe I haven't done a post about it yet. This post is going to be a review and there will be a follow up in a couple of weeks with a step by step on how to do the gel mani.
I love gel manicures, I have been to the salon on a number of occasions to get a gel manicure but it can be quite expensive. So when I saw this kit I knew I needed it, although there is an upfront larger cost after using it a few times it pays for itself. In my kit I got two colours and to be totally honest I'm not that fussed by them. One is a nude and the other is a red wine color. They are nice enough colours but not really for me. So I purchased a clear, I mainly got this so I could strengthen my nails while they are pretty short. Do you know what I mean?

My main problem with the kit is if you don't do it properly then it will start to peel and chip. So it does take a bit of practice before you get the full effect. You have to be careful around your skin and cuticles because if you get it on your cuticle then when it grows that bit is lose and if you are like me you will be inclined to peel it off.
When you have the manicure it won't chip at all for the full two weeks, which is amazing. I do find that around my nail bed where my nail has grown out is where it starts to want to chip but it only really does if you pick at it.

Overall I think this is a great system. The manicure lasts me 12-14 days, permitting I don't pick it off. For me it is a great chance for me to give my nails some time to grow and just be generally stronger. So far I don't have a huge amount of colours but I do hope to build up my collection. Also on the Sensationail website they always have one color half price and this changes every week.
Have you tried this? What do you think?
