Recently I have been getting back in to my nail art, starting a new job back in the beauty world, has definitely rekindled my passion and I just love thinking up new designs and making peoples nails all pretty and stuff. With nail trends changing every five minutes, let alone every season I have been keen to try out the popular crazes. This time being the Ombré look.
I’ve always loved the Ombré trend, whether we are talking nails or hair. I’ve seen so many versions of the Ombré look, some with three different colours, others with two, but for me, I like the two tone look best. This week I opted for an extremely girly, two tone pink, what do you think?
How to do it:
It’s actually so much easier than it looks, (I promise), just a little bit messy at times. All you need is your chosen nail varnishes, a pale base coat, (I would suggest white) and a orange stick, or cotton bud ready to mop up the excess.
Step 1 : Apply a base coat and paint all of your nails white.
Step 2: Get a make up sponge and paint a line across the sponge in each colour, (Be quite product happy at this stage).
Step 3: Depending on whether you want the tips of the nails to be darker or lighter, position your sponge, and dab it across the nail.
Step 4: Clean up any excess mess around the nail bed.
Step 5: Repest steps 2-4 for every nail.
Step 6: Apply a top coat.
And that is it, easy peasy.
