For a couple of weeks now, I have been getting slightly obsessed with glitter nails… So often attempting glitter placement, and giving up and just sticking my nail into the glitter pot, (It’s just not the same). Having a lazy day on Saturday, pampering myself, coating my self in fake tan and putting my hair up in rollers, I thought it was the perfect time to try out the glitter nails again.
Being patient, (This time), I was successful, and so pleased with the results. In order to do the nail art you need A LOT of patience, and a relatively steady/neat hand. This time I made sure the glitter was in the lid, (So the glitter was easier to pick up), using a top coat to make my nail sticky, I opted for a tooth pick and a dotting tool to individually place each glitter piece.
Don’t get me wrong, it was frustrating at times, for example when the glitter wouldn’t stick to the nail, or when you eventually stuck one piece of glitter on but took two off, all in one go, (Hence, why I switched between to placement tools). However, it was totally worth it, I love the look it creates. It is not as neat or perfectly positioned as some nails I have seen, but I think they look good. Hopefully with a bit more practice, I will get quicker and become a glitter placement expert.
