Hey everyone!
Removing makeup at the end of the day seems to be a tiring job! However, if you skip this process, you can easily have breakouts or infections! In the past 2-3 years, I have experimented with loads of makeup removers ranging from budget to high end removers. I always like to stock up various types of removers ~ cleansing oil, cream, cleansing water, etc. For the lazy nights, you can even go for wipes. So in this post, we would mainly talk about various makeup removers available in the Indian Market.Makeup Removers
Cream Cleansers : They have cream or heavy lotion like consistency and I have love and hate relation with them. Earlier, I had used Lotus Herbals and Lakme Cleansing Milk and they were ineffective in removing waterproof makeup. They only left my skin greasy. Later, I have used Revlon eye and lip makeup remover, that changed my views regarding the cream cleansers. Though it was not very effective in removing waterproof mascara but it easily cleanses every traces of makeup from your skin in 2 swipes. I can't feel any sting in my eyes nor does it irritates my skin. It's light weight and not heavy on skin. Currently I have bought the Colorbar Cleanser ~ hope this works well with my skin.
- budget friendly : Revlon eye and lip makeup remover (Rs 210)
- high end : Colorbar Ultimate Makeup Remover (Rs 699), Thalgo Gentle eye and lip Makeup Remover (Rs 960)

Bi-phased removers/Cleansing water : These are easily available in Indian market. Lakme, L'Oreal, Chambor and Maybelline makes excellent bi-phase removers and my favorite is the New Maybelline Clean Up remover. Currently I'm having all the above mentioned makeup removers except the L'Oreal one. These bi-phase removers are very gentle on skin and does not sting eyes. They are not effective in removing waterproof makeup completely, some residues are still left on the skin. But they are quite affordable and can easily be bought from stores near you.
- budget friendly : Lakme Absolute bi-phased makeup remover (Rs 225), Maybelline eye and lip makeup remover (Rs 275), Maybelline Express Total Clean Up Makeup Remover (Rs 275), L'Oreal Paris Dermo Expertise Gentle eye and lip Makeup Remover (Rs 425)
- high-end : H2O plus Aqualibrium Dual Action Makeup Remover (Rs 1100), H2O Face Oasis Cleansing Water (Rs 1232)

Cleansing Oil : I'm absolutely loving my current favorite Forest Essentials Floral makeup remover. This is basically an oil based makeup remover which easily removes every bit of makeup including stubborn waterproof mascara and moisturises the skin clean. Although its heavily textured, you will find your face squeaky clean and hydrated after washing your face. I have heard many bloggers praising the Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm ~ which is also very light textured and removes waterproof makeup easily. Would buying this very soon :p You can also use olive oil or baby oils to remove your makeup but it would surely make your skin greasy and very oily.
- budget friendly : Forest Essentials Floral eye and lip Makeup Remover (Rs 495)
- high end : Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm (Rs 2000)

Cleansing Wipes : The most easiest way to remove makeup after a tiring day! You can't find wipes that are free from alcohol easily in Indian Market, but iherb.com stocks such wipes. Wipes easily removes makeup except mascara. I haven't really tried any wipes yet, but got a sample of a single makep removing wipe with my Real Technique brushes purchase last year. Will update you all regarding this!
- budget friendly : readers please suggest
- high end : H2O+ Aqualibrium Cleansing Face Wipes (Rs 1050 for 45 wipes)
