The majority of woman spend half their wages on makeup every month, with so many different products and brands on the market, it's hard not to.
After sorting out all my makeup the other day, I just couldn't believe the amount of drugstore products I had and the amount of products I hadn't even opened yet, and a lot of them I knew I wouldn't use. I am a lot more conscious about what I use on my skin and I won't use any old product.
A lot of the drugstore ones dont always work for me, so I wanted something better. Two years ago I started to look into buying more high brand makeup products, as my mom always says "You pay for quality." So I started with a very popular brand Chanel-
My Collection
When buying high brand makeup, I wanted to start off with the basic items such as foundationand bronzer, them adding lipstick and brushes as I went on. It's hard to buy a different product all the time as it does cost, so I only bought when I could. For one of my birthdays a friend brought me a Bobbi Brown Makeup Manual book. This book for me, is an amazing guide for building a high quality makeup collection, for helping you to learn about your skin and what makeup you need, for an insight in what the makeup industry is like and an over all "How To" guide of wearing makeup and the tools you need.Reading this gave me the idea to build up a few collections of high brand makeup, so I will have make up that will last and that is good for my skin. My Collection
I started to build my BB collection and this is what I bought-
- Bobbi Brown Finishing Press Power
- Bobbi Brown Pencil Jet Eyeliner
- Bobbi Brown Black Ink Liquid Liner
- Bobbi Brown Face Platte- just add a small amount of your everyday makeup products into the Platte and keep it in your bag for whenever you need a touch up.
My drugstore addtiction isnt over, I will still be trying out drugstore products, but only items like lipsticks, mascaras and nail polishes.
There are so many products and brands, the key is to try them and to find the right one for you.
