Hello Everyone! Today I am reviewing my favorite favorite pressed powder for setting foundation at the moment. Its the Mac Select Sheer Pressed Powder. I have it in the shade NC40.
MAC SELECT SHEER PRESSED POWDER
Price: INR 1650/-
I have dry skin and that is why I am very picky when it comes to applying powder, I dont necessarily always apply it all over the face, specially during the winter season. I always make it a point to use a pressed/loose powder to set my concealer in the under eye area. But I look for a powder that is not heavy and doesnt cling into the fine lines under the eye area. I love Mac select sheer pressed powder for this very reason. Its light weight and it gives decent coverage and it doesnt cake up on the skin.
Mac Select Sheer Pressed Powder NC40 Review
On days where I am not using a foundation I just use my BB Cream and set it with Mac Select Sheer Pressed Powder and I am done. The staying power of this face powder is around 6 hours on a normal day. You will need to touch up your foundation on a hot sweaty day once or twice, other than that for the most part this powder stays put. It comes with a sponge applicator which I use only for touch ups. For application I use a powder brush.
MAC SELECT SHEER PRESSED POWDER NC40 REVIEW
This powder on its own has decent pigmentation but dont expect it to cover your blemishes, for that you need to apply a concealer or foundation. I have blended it into the skin in the picture below, and as you can see its totally color matched to my skin so after blending it you cant really see it.
Mac Select Sheer Pressed Powder NC40 Swatch
The best part of this pressed powder is that it doesnt cake up on the skin, it imparts a matte look on the face, and stays put for a long time.
I am really enjoying the combination of this powder with MAC STUDIO FIX FOUNDATION NC42
