Reviewing a gorgeous-gorgeous blush today.
Its MAC Petal Power Blush from their Fantasy of Flowers Spring'14 Collection.
In my opinion, the last 3 MAC LE collections didn't carry anything great & hence were quite skippable, barring one or two products from the entire collection.
This is one such product...you are bound to fall in love with this blush at first sight! :)

The way I see it:
This is my first ever MAC blush & I'm glad I picked such a fabulous shade as a first timer.
MAC blushes usually come in sturdy cases with no mirror or brush, with a see-through lid to make out the shade - be it permanent or LE. This one is no different!
The baked blush is a lovely mix of resplendent pink & gold. One swoosh of the brush in the pan, gives you an eclectic mix of both the shades.
MAC describes this shade as "coral pink with gold shimmer" aptly.
MAC has gone nuts on the pigmentation...one of the best you can get for your money.
The blush is finely-milled & baked to perfection.
The gold in this blush transforms beautifully on the skin as a golden sheen on a pink background - making it perfect for festive & party wear.
It stays put for almost the whole day on me - easily about 8-10 hrs. With time, the golden sheen is more prominent which appears like a soft glow on your cheeks.
The golden sheen can tend to highlight pores over time when worn, hence make sure you prime your skin nicely before you go for this beauty. If you think your pores misbehave, you should better skip this blush!
If you never managed to lay your hands on NARS Orgasm, this could be your next best pick!

Both of them have the same shade of pink & gold. Where NARS Orgasm has more pink & much noticeable golden glitter, MAC Petal Power is an even mix of gold & pink with no noticeable glitter & only a golden sheen on the skin.
I don't think I need NARS Orgasm anymore, when I have this beauty lying in my kitty.

Overall, MAC Petal Power Blush is an exotic mix of pink & gold that transforms into a gorgeous pinkish-golden glow on the skin. A must have in a bride's trousseau & perfect fit for festive & party wear.
This is an LE product. If you missed purchasing this or think you don't want to spend big moolah on NARS Orgasm then.. Sleek Makeup Blush in Rose Gold should be your choice! :)
