Hey There,

I am a fan of Lush cosmetics, I mean who isn’t? I love the fact that their products are handmade, organic, smell delicous, and even their ethics and charity work is amazing. But I am guilty of not using their products enough, up until my most recent little lush goodies from the #Sotonmeetup, I have only used their products when someone has brought them for me (The boyfriend), or when my flatmates used to pick up a Lush mask, and we had to use it all up before it went off, (Sign of a good natural product).

I find their smell so distinctive, always incredibly gorgeous and indulgent, and very powerful, that as you walk up that high-street you can literally sniff the place out. As I write this post, and think about the gorgeous body bars I have been using, and literally have the scent coming off my body under my nose, I think to myself, ‘why do I not have more lush products’.Being someone who is very particular about my skincare, and one who prefers a natural, organic cosmetic, (Mother included), why is it that neither of us really buy from there? And to be honest, I don’t know the answer, (Mum says its because the nearest one is Southampton, but she’s just being lazy, its only 12 miles up the road). But as I type and the more I think about this, I kind of want this to change, I want to try out more of what they have to offer. Blame it on the success of these two.

Now this is the kinda thing which makes me love a cosmetic from Lush, and that is the fact there are only 10 ingredients in this massage bar, no other unnatural nonsense. The main contents being Cocoa butter, Shea butter, Sweet Orange oil, Lavender oil, and Neroli oil. So not only does it smell divine, but it literally melts on to the skin, leaving my skin feeling silky soft. I don’t think words can do it justice. The lavender oil is very soothing and calming for my skin, and I like the contrast of  the lavender against the orange. The only problem is massaging it on myself, I can just about do my legs and arms, but I would love it on my back. I’m not quite prepared to share it with the boyfriend, although I may have to for a proper massage with it.

The King of Skin body butter, is even better in my eyes. It goes on even quicker and melts even faster, and feels even nicer, (If that is even possible). Its shape makes it easier to work around the body and leaves your skin feeling lovely all day. I find that I can use this both on dry or wet skin, but I like an intense moisturiser so I tend to apply to dry skin. Plus I know that if it was left in the bathroom, it would be gone by the next day.  The King of skin has a few more ingredients than the Therapy bar, Cocoa butter, Shea butter, Oat milk, Fresh avocado, Extra virgi coconut oil, Jojoba oil, Almond oil, Tangerine oil, Lavender oil Sandalwood oil, Rose absolute and Frankincense Resinoid. Taking me back to my Aromatherapy days at college. I did think it had quite a strong rose smell to it. But all the ingredients to make up a very gentle, nourishing and indulgent body butter.

Overall I am very pleased with both products so far, I really don’t want them to run out *Sad face*. I think the family will have to put an order in soon.

What is your favorite Lush product?

Lots of love,

KBxx
