What’s new, Metalheads! Today I’m going to present on MetalWind a great Brazilian Neo-classical/Symphonic Metal band. They are Lords Of Aesir a fantastic female fronted band with an amazing voice.
Lords Of Aesir was born in 2009 when Karol (vocals) and Ian (keyboards) decided to unite their efforts and begin a new musical project, the result is this fantastic band called Lords Of Aesir.
Karol majored in lyric singing in Florence and Ian also did studies of composition. In the begining the band made some collaborations in different audio and video projects with an undefined line-up. Finally they found a progressive metal band called “Awake” formed by students and old musician partners and Lords Of Aesir takes a new direction by consolidating its members.
Karol and Ian continued doing collaborations with great musicians like Susanna Rigacci, Denise Sartori, Graziela Philipi, Ana Denise Beal, Fernando Quesada, Gustavo Monsanto, Marcelo Moreira or Timo Tolkki. And they have released with Lords Or Aesir an EP entitled “Lost The Hope” with four awesome tracks.
“Life’s Complex” is a nice song on the EP which combines perfectly the sweet and amazing Karol ‘s voice with agessive male’s voices and a fast and powerful metal sound. I also recommend to listen “The Voice Beyond” another great track with a fantastic melody, amazing chorus, which accompanying very well the excelent voice of Karol and awesome orchestrations.
I think that Lords Of Aesir is formed by great musicians with a special virtuosity, very good compositions and not forgetting the great voice of Karol in each of the songs.
If you like bands like Nightwish then Lords Of Aesir is your new band with a fantastic sound full of metal with a good orchestration, fantastic keyboards and female voices which are really amazing.
At this moment the band is in the process of recording the new album “Dream For Eternity…” which I recommend you don’t miss.
