Looking for Something Yummy to Do Over Spring Break? How About Some Central Market Cooking Classes? (PRESS RELEASE)

By Slowdownandsavor

Hey guys! Happy Friday!

I have some pretty exciting news for those of you who still don’t have any plans for Spring Break this upcoming week. The Central Market up on North Lamar set me some info on some pretty sweet cooking classes going on for both kids and adults, and I felt moved to pass on to all of you!

There will be some Spring Break Classes for All Ages at Central Market’s Austin Cooking School! There will be some seriously stellar chefs and cooking school staff that will entertain the crap out of you while educating your brain during their March Spring Break classes.

So, make your Spring Break scrumptious at Central Market’s Cooking School. From introductory classes for the little ones to a hands-on demonstration of our Tex-Mex favorites, there’s variety for every taste, and age!

Reserve a seat while there‘s still room and make learning fun with an array of class offerings from Central Market.

Central Market Austin Cooking School’s March lineup includes:

Monday-Wednesday, March 10-12, at 10:00 a.m.
Kids Camp (Ages 5-6): Spring Fling ($40)

CM Kids Camp

Bring your little spring-breakers and join Central Market’s cooking school staff on a tour of new flavors while they learn how to use kitchen tools and discover the rules of culinary success. As children make this meal, they’ll practice simple techniques like mixing and blending batters, emulsifying salad dressing and making pie crust.

Thursday, March 13, at 6:30 p.m
Tex Mex Basics ($50)

Learn more about this fusion of traditional Mexican techniques paired with local ingredients and ingenuity. San Antonio may be known as the capital of Tex-Mex cuisine, but you’ll be making popular dishes from around the great Lone Star State.

Central Market is in the process of changing their class enrollment system. The new system will be launching in April 2014. Please pardon our dust while we work to make the website better for our customers. Thank you!

For complete information on the chefs who will be appearing at the Central Market Cooking School, visit http://www.centralmarket.com.

And while you’re there, check out their bountiful produce department with unmatched quality and variety, an 80-foot seafood case with selections from throughout the world, hundreds of cheeses, 2,500 wine labels, stupendous specialty grocery aisles with delights from every continent, and a world class cooking school featuring hands-on instruction are among the features that make the Central Market experience unique.

I’m hoping to make it to the Thursday class and learn a thing or two about Tex-Mex!
