To start off with, we chose a special starter - grilled sardines and a sharing platter for one. But there was enough on there for two people :-)
The presentation of the sardines was as good as it tasted. I love fish that's cooked really well and don't linger with the fishy smell! The sharing platter consisted of oysters, king prawns, crevettes, smoked prawns, langoustines, crayfish. - wow these definitely raves up to why Loch Fyne is recognisable for serving fresh seafood! You really have to dig in and use your hands to eat these though, so don't mind being messy. Hehe.
My boyfriend opted for the 28-Day Aged Char-grilled West Country Sirloin Steak with additional pan fried prawns, and he reviewed that the steak was cooked to his preference (medium rare), tasty, juicy, flavoursome and filling. As for me, I went and ordered the lobster frites (Whole-baked Canadian lobster, garlic butter, French fries, mayonnaise). I can't tell you how nice this was! Certainly exceeded my expectations. It was meaty, well flavoured and off course you can't eat lobster without really digging in! Ahhhhh I would definitely go back for this!Due to enjoying the sharing platter so much, as it was all fresh (still at 8pm) we ordered a portion of 6 traditional oysters. A bit of lemon juice & Tabasco is perfecttttttt 👌As you can tell, we thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant and without a doubt will be returning again, this has become one of my favorite destinations for seafood now! Especially if you're a seafood fanatic - give this place a try! Thanks for reading guys and hope you have a lovely weekend :-)Angela xo
