LG Nexus 4 offers not only attractive hardware and software, but it has also got a very favourable price in some parts of the world.
In the U.S., LG Nexus 4 (unlocked) will be sold by Google in Play Store for $ 349. If you instead opt for 8GB model of the Nexus 4, you can get it for $ 299. Customers get an operator independent smartphone with latest version of Android, the mobile phone world’s fastest chip, 2GB of RAM, a 4.7-inch WXGA display and NFC for a truly affordable price.
Even in England, 16GB model of the Nexus 4 is sold at a very good price, namely £ 279. The low price has called surprised voices to be raised. Google seems to have the same strategy for Nexus 7: selling a unit at really low price to establish many new customers to the ecosystem and make money other than the actual unit sales.

The low pricing makes LG’s own Optimus G less interesting and almost irrelevant. Other android manufacturers probably won’t be too happy with the fact that the Nexus 4 got such a low price.
LG Nexus 4, in some respects on paper, has really attractive hardware (twice as much RAM, probably faster chip) and can already be pre-ordered. It remains to be seen how good the LG Nexus 4 is in practice, but right now it looks to provide exceptionally great value for money.
