Posted on the 10 June 2014 by Anna Peterson

The LG G3 was launched recently and it’s one of the first smartphones to come with a QHD display and a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. With this fact in mind, it would be completely normal for this handset’s battery life not to last long.

However, the guys at Phone Arena ran some tests and, according to them, it seems that this time LG focused on delivering exceptional battery life when the company designed the new G3. And not only that – the phone managed to beat other major smartphones in these tests, such as the Galaxy S5, the Sony Xperia Z2, the iPhone 5S etc.

The G3′s battery (3,000mAh) lasted for 8 hours and 50 minutes, with the next best handset being the Galaxy S5, whose battery lasted for 8 hours and 20 minutes.

The LG G3′s charging time was also tested and compared to other devices – LG’s flagship won this round, too, with a total charge time of 120 minutes. The Galaxy S5 came in second again.

Recent reports state that LG sold 100,000 G3 handsets in just 5 days and that this phone has already managed to beat the Galaxy S5 in South Korea. With the outstanding battery life, a QHD display, a quad-core processor and other fantastic features, we have no doubt that the LG G3 will become one of the most popular Android smartphones to this day.
