LG announced the mini version of the G3, called the LG G3 Beat.

The LG G3 Beat comes with a 5in HD display, a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and pixel density of 294ppi. On the inside is a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 processor, backed by 1GB of RAM and 8GB of built-in storage, which is (naturally) expandable via a microSD card slot.

The G3 Beat sports an 8MP rear camera.

On the phone’s back is an 8-megapixel camera with the LED flash, and a special laser that measures the distance and speeds up autofocus (the same feature found in the LG G3). The front of the handset sports a 1.3-megapixel shooter. The camera comes with a number of other features, such as Touch & Shoot (tap anywhere on your screen to focus and snap a picture) and Gesture Shot (you clench your hand in front of the phone’s display and a 3-second countdown automatically starts, after which the camera takes a photo).

Connectivity options include 4G LTE, HSPA+, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and USB 2.0. Lastly, the LG G3 Beat comes with a 2,540mAh battery (removable), runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat, and you’ll be able to get it in Metallic Black, Silk White and Shine Gold.
