During the past few months, LG has introduced several successful phones to the market. Most devices fall within a range known as Optimus G, and many were surprised when LG announced it is time to say goodbye to Optimus brand. The new flagship is simply called the LG G2.
LG has invited the press conference to come and see the new flagship LG G2 for the first time on August 7, in New York. The successor to Optimus G Pro is surrounded by a veil of mystery.
Unique Design
According to some rumours, LG has chosen to place the volume buttons on the back of the device. This is probably because the 5.5-inch Full HD screen is so large that there is little space to place the buttons on the side. Also, the unit is going to be super slim.
The integrated hardware is obviously not yet confirmed, but the LG G2 (code-named LG-D800) will most likely be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chip, 2.3 GHz quad-core processor, 2 GB RAM, 13 megapixel camera and Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It will support the super-fast 4G network. It is expected that the screen will feature Full HD resolution, 1920 by 1080 pixels.
‘Learning from you ‘
On the invitation above we see the phrase “learning from you”; LG is thus saying that the company has listened to its customers and acknowledged their feedback and LG G2 is the result.
On the dedicated site for the launch of this phone (http://www.g2.lgmobile.com/), we see the silhouette of a man standing, made up of the keywords that are mainly prevalent in the LG feedback from users. The remarkable thing is that all these words can be clicked and the comment pops in.
LG also has two teaser videos put on YouTube:
On the top of it all, this website offers you the option to say who or what is perfect for you. The winner’s message gets the chance to be displayed on the big screens in London and New York.
