Do you want bread for breakfast on occasion, while still avoiding carbs and gluten? Here's the eighth breakfast idea from Fanny Lindkvist, who runs a popular Swedish blog and the Instagram account LessCarbs.
LessCarbs' Easy Bread
Ingredients (6-8 pieces)
In 2014 this was Lesscarbs' most popular recipe. An easy, fast and tasty bread that roasts and freezes well. This is really a great bread that can be varied infinitely with different seeds, chopped nuts, olives, bread spices and so on.
¼ cup (50 ml) sour cream
2 egg whites
2 teaspoons psyllium-seed husk
½ cup (100 ml) almond flour
½ cup (100 ml) peeled sesame seeds
¼ cup (50 ml) sunflower seeds
1½ teaspoon baking powder
1 pinch saltInstructions
Set oven to 400°F (200°C).
Mix together egg whites and sour cream in a bowl.
Mix together the other ingredients and work in to the egg batter. Let rest for a few minutes.
Form into piles and put in a baking dish. Sprinkle some extra sesame seeds if you like.
Bake in oven for 10-12 minutes.
