I may be a little late on the Kate by Rimmel lipstick collection, but I have only recently been into matte lips so decided to give the 'Lasting Finish Matte By Kate Moss' a go while there was 30% off Rimmel on asos last month (This deal is over now but asos often have beauty deals on, so keep a look out).I ordered shade 101 which is an opaque mid toned dusky pink, it's not a full on matte lipie, but the slight sheen can be removed with a simple blot on a tissue. 101 is such an easy everyday shade to wear as it's not to far from my natural lip color so it's a great pop in your bag, on the go, no mirror needed lipie.

Now what on earth is ruby powder? Have you heard of ruby powder? What ever it is it makes this lipstick extremely smooth on the lip, with that being said It does have an odd almost grainy texture that I've never come across in a lipstick before. I know that sounds like it should be uncomfortable but oddly enough it really isn't, in fact this is the first matte lipstick that I have found to be very comfortable to wear & not at all drying, it is honestly such a lovely consistency.
This lipstick has such a yummy scent of watermelon that I just can't help taking a sniff when applying, the scent transfers to the lip but ever so slightly & then fades away.
The packaging is a matte red tube, with Kates signature on the side of the lid along with the Rimmel's emblem etched on the top. It contains 0.14oz/4g which is a fair amount for a lipstick as mac for example contains only 3g.
The lasting power of the actual lipstick is a great 2 hours minimum which for my lips is pretty good. I would definitely be interested in trying maybe a darker shade in the lipstick next & would highly suggest this lipstick for matte lip fans.£5.49 from all drugstores.
