La Roche-Posay Toleriane Gel Moussant | Cleansing Memories of J&J Ph 5.5

By Blessmybag @blessmybag

As many of you know, after having followed the advice of Ms. Caroline Hirons foaming cleansers have almost completely gone off the map for me…in general, especially since she said they’re not exactly beneficial for any skin type.  I still have one memory however of a foaming cleanser from my teen years which was the first one that made my skin feel completely different from any other. It smoothed it, calmed pores, and made my face feel softer and more supple than I’d ever had it then and didn’t dry out my skin. That was the J&J Ph 5.5 Facial wash for sensitive skin.  It was the first product I ever got depressed about when it phased out from supermarkets in the 90s, I think I nearly stamped my foot in the grocery lol.  I’ve just used a similar product by La Roche-Posay at someone’s house that brought back those supple memories and when I mentally macro-d in on the label “Ph 5.5″ jumped out at me. This made my skin feel exactly the same as J&J Ph5.5 did way back then.

This Toleriane foaming wash by La Roche-Posay (my aunt’s since I’m at her place babysitting) is from their sensitive skin range.  I guess if you can’t give up on foaming washes the lesser evil would be to find one with the right PH level for skin, like this one.
