As of late I have really been into L'Oréal makeup products. I was loving everything I had tried, so with each new love came a new L'Oréal purchase. My affair with their makeup continues, however after trying the Skin Perfection 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar Solution I can no longer say I love everything from the brand I have ever tried. I picked this product up because of its sleek and chic packaging. It is simple and clean and for those reasons it appealed to me. It wasn't just those reasons alone, I might add! It was that it claimed to offer me 3 benefits in the 1 product. According to L'Oréal their Skin Perfection 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar Solution:
- Dissolves make-up. No rubbing, no rinsing.
- Purifies + unclogs pores.
- Tones + Soothes skin
I tend to use Micellar water as an alternative to face wipes (I use face wipes when I am too lazy to cleanse my skin properly) as I feel they can be a little harsh on the skin, so you can imagine how excited I was to find a product that claimed do these 3 things. My excitement didn't last long. Firstly, I don't care what L'Oréal say, I had to rub this stuff and really work it to see results of make-up removing. This was especially the case when it came to removing eye makeup. Secondly, after a few uses (about a week) the skin around my eyes became rather sensitive. This happens to me when a product starts to strip my skin and mess around it's pH levels. Thirdly, I don't think I will ever be able to confirm if the Skin Perfection 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar Solution does anything for my pores as I have had to stop using the stuff.While this product was a really big let down for me and I will never purchase it again, I do love L'Oréal makeup and will go on using and purchasing those types of products from the brand. One last thing! Do remember that everyone's skin is different, and therefore this product may work differently on me than it does or would on you!
