My experience with the product
The new L'Oreal Infallible Le Rouge Lipstick comes in a black packaging with translucent color coded caps - making it easier to pick a particular shade, if you own more than one. Compared to their old casing, I definitely prefer the new packaging which I find more attractive. The lipstick shuts tightly and never open up in your handbag spoiling it. The only con being - when the lipstick is still new, the entire bullet does not rotate down and is prone to getting scratched while putting the cap on. Better be careful!The texture is very soft and creamy - almost melt on your lips and glides easily on your lips without tugging or pulling. The lipsticks are packed with pigments and one swipe gives opaque coverage - great for pigmented lips! These glide on the lips like butter and are absolutely perfect for winters - extremely hydrating and moisturising! These settle to a semi-matte finish after minutes of application and does not dry out or accentuate flaky bits of the lips. These are non-sticky and feels very light - almost feather like on lips. The wear time is indeed very impressive - 9 hours of wear with minimal fading after light meals. These do stain lips that is not easy to remove using a makeup remover. The colors does not bleed out of the lip line - have to test these in summers though. Although the price (Rs 999) is on the higher side, it values your money completely!Persistent Plum is a gorgeous plum with red undertone that would flatter on fair-medium complexion. Though this is a bright lipstick, you can tone it down by pressing a tissue on your lips as a lip-stain or use a lip brush. A perfect shade for winters!
Overall, L’Oreal Paris Infallible Le Rouge Lipstick Persistent Plumwears with a semi-matte finish on the lips. The formula is creamy, very pigmented and stays on the entire day without overly drying the lips. It does not settle into fine lines, doesn’t bleed out of the lip line and barely transfers onto cups/glasses.Rating : 4.5/5
