L'Oreal Magic Skin Beautifier B.B. Cream

By Stephanie1 @NewBeautyReview
I have Allure magazine to thank for this one! We all know Allure is the Makeup Artist's Bible but lately they've been putting more and more product samples in their monthly magazines, and I love it! It used to just be perfumes but now we're getting lipstick, skincare and makeup samples! I like to try my products first so, as I've said before, this is a genius way to get me to buy something immediately, which I usually do :-)
I know that B.B. Creams have certainly left their mark on the beauty industry as of late because they are part cosmetics and part skincare. The whole idea behind B.B. Cream (for those of you that don't know, the B.B. stands for Beauty Balm or Blemish Balm because it treats the skin as well as gives coverage) is that it's more than just a lightweight foundation. It provides skincare benefits beyond what a strictly cosmetic product will offer.
The first B.B. Cream I tried was by boscia earlier this year. In case you missed it, here's my original review on that---> *boscia B.B. Cream*
Just as soon as my Allure came in last week, I cracked it open & found a sample of the Magic Skin Beautifier along with a $1.00 off coupon towards a purchase of a L'Oreal Magic product. This includes the Magic Lumi Light Infusing Primer (which I also tried as a sample from Allure or Glamour) that I wrote a review on---> *L'Oreal Magic Lumi Light Infusing Primer*
I've always loved L'Oreal because they make such efficient products so I'm not at all surprised that I loved this one so much.
When I first opened the B.B. Cream sample I thought it had gone bad because it's white with what looks like teeny, tiny beads in it. I rubbed my hands together to see what would happen and thankfully it blended out into a warm, light mixture of perfectly matched foundation. It's really lightweight, like you don't feel it at all! I was nervous because the shade I tried was called "Light" so I thought, "ok, great, this will be way too light for me" & when I saw it was white, I got nervous, like what the heck is this stuff? Lol! But it was really warm and matched my skin to a tee! I've never been so happy to be wrong. Lol!
Needless to say, I went out and used my coupon right away. It comes in 4 shades, from lightest to darkest...Fair, Light, Medium & Deep. I got the Light shade even though I thought for sure I'd be a Medium but the light is exactly what I need. I'll probably get the Medium anyway because I believe everyone should have 2 bases, one lighter for winter & one darker for summer so that you can mix them in between to achieve your perfect shade all year round.
This retailed at $7.99 but with my coupon it was $6.99, thanks Allure! XO
It's lighter than my Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer and I love that it has so much to offer. It's dermatologist tested & won't clog pores, which is good for everyone but it advertises as having 4 main benefits:
1-Primes: smooth texture
2-Perfects: Hides imperfections
3-Hydrates: Moisturizes
4-Corrects: Evens complexion
It wears beautifully! I'd still use a drop of concealer but it can hold it's own for the most part. I took a pic of it as is so you can see it's finish.
