L'Oreal Extraordinary Oil

By Lotionsandpotions @LotionNPotion
Hair oils have become an irreplaceable and permanent step in my haircare routine over the last year and a half. I have long hair and the ends get very dry so an oil is essential to prevent it looking and feeling like straw.
This love affair began when Stylist Magazine gave a free sample of L'Oreal Mythic Oil in September/October 2011. I love Mythic Oil - it smells lovely and it really did help my hair look and feel smoother and shinier. However, Mythic Oil has proved to be a little tricky to get hold of so, despite singing its praises to anyone who would listen (and several people who wouldn't!), I started to look for a replacement.
The oil I settled on for most of last year was another L'Oreal offering; Extraordinary Oil.

Now, this one doesn't smell quite as nice as Mythic Oil in my opinion, but it still smells pretty good - more floral.
L'Oreal say:
"A precious blend of 6 flower extracts with nourishing properties for sumptuous softness and luminous shine"
Pretty much does what it says on the bottle to be honest. I don't know about my hair feeling 'sumptuous', but it was a definite improvement!
As I said, this was the oil I was rubbing into my mane for most of last year (there was another oil in the picture at one point, but I only had a small sample of that one so it didn't last long! More on this oil soon!) and I would definitely repurchase it. I bought the bottle in June and it ran out just last week, which is amazing considering I used it every day!
The only thing I would say as a negative is that the directions for use sate to "rub 2 precious drops" in your hands before applying it to your hair. I found this to be utter rubbish. 2 drops was nowhere near enough for me, also there is a pump dispenser so 2 'drops' is actually impossible. However, I have long hair so less would be needed for someone with shorter hair.
