Hi Metalheads! I’m going to present today a fantastic metal guitarrist from Greece, his name is Kostas Fotiou and he has a new release with a powerful and amazing metal sound.
Kostas is a musician with a long history and he has played in bands such as Psycko Emotions (2001), Celestial 2003 (Progressive Death Metal), Sin Decade 2004 (Thrash/Death Metal) and some Greek projects such as Whole Lotta Rockers 2005 (rock), Ichorama 2007 (Greek rock) 2007 and Aliko Gramma (Greek pop rock) with which he entered in discography in 2011 with the release “Aliko Gramma 1″ from Universal.
This guy is a highly active guitarist who is at this moment taking part in bands such as Manifesto (Greek rock), Psyborn (Death Metal Core) and Zeys (Progressive Metal). He also has released two personal EP and now he brings us a fantastic new EP entitled “Payback”.
But there are still more, Kostas also is doing courses of electric and acoustic guitar, on lead guitar techniques and basic principles of improvisation in rock, blues, funk, metal and jazz. Wow! Really this guy is an amazing musician, he is a great professional who deploys his passion for music in all areas, and I think that is really very good.
Kostas believes that the music has no limits and in each genre there is something that music teach you. I’m totally agree with him and I think that all musicians should have always the same philoshophy.
He is now working on new tracks for his third CD and you already can enjoy great songs from Payback EP. What I have so far been able to hear, really have a powerful sound. Songs like “Anatolia” with fantastic guitar solos or “Payback” with mysterious atmospheric voices and great progressive elements are recomendable tracks from Payback EP.
Without forgetting “Burning Soul” with a catchy melody in which we can appreciate the mastery of Kostas with the guitars or the amazing song entitled “Betrayal”, a powerful track with Alex Siderakos (lead singer of Zeys and Pandoras Box).
