Kitchen Bites Edition #3

By Thefoodiecoupleblog

Wow, it’s June already. This year is going seriously fast but May just seemed to fly by! As usual we were lucky enough to try out some new thing in our kitchen and here’s just a few of them!

First up us this Eisberg Non Alcoholic Wine.

Apparently Eisberg non-alcoholic wine is made in exactly the same way as ‘normal’ wine, except at the very end of the process the alcohol is removed using some fancy process! I tried the rosé and I must admit I was skeptical, but although it won’t replace the real thing for me its a viable alternative! There’s 4 currently available; the rose above, a chardonnay, resiling and cabernet sauvignon.

Next up is this Tan Rosie Tamarind BBQ sauce. We sampled this one at the Foodies Festival and absolutely loved it. Tamarind is a favorite of mine so combining it with sweet tangy BBQ sauce – thats got to be a winner!

We’ve recently tried a Tipple Box – a monthly subscription box where you get some mini bottles of spirits, mixers and everything else you need to make the cocktails that they provide the recipes for. This bottle of Sloe Gin and Elderflower Vodka from Anno Distilliers were both delicious.

I’ve also been having a read of this gorgeous new cookery book – At Home in the Whole Food Kitchen: Celebrating the Art of Eating Well by Amy Chaplin. It is a  sophisticated vegetarian & vegan cookbook with over 150 detailed recipes focusing on eating well. As something I’m really trying to do at home at the moment I’ve found this book really useful. It’s got some delicious sounding recipes and beautiful photography.

And lastly, just a little something that took my fancy in Asda! How sweet are these egg cups?! We have a pale turquoise and cream color theme in our kitchen so these will fit in perfectly!
