Kerschbaumer breaks the ice at XC Kirchberg

(google translate)With an impressive show of determination, TX Active-Bianchi’s Gerhard Kerschbaumer finally broke the ice in 2013 season by landing the spoils on Bianchi Methanol 29SL at XC Kirchberg, in Austria, on July 6th, 2013.

The Italian rider managed to put over a minute between himself and the first chaser, Czech runner-up Ondrej Cink, while Russian Anton Sintsov rounded out the day’s podium. The Austrian Alexander Gehbauer, abandoned the race after suffering a technical issue in the early going while last year's winner (Uwe Hochenwarter) finished in 7th place.

“I am very happy for Gerhard – TX Active-Bianchi team manager Massimo Ghirotto stated – we all knew he was in good condition, but his performance in a very high-level race was impressive: he outdistanced a strong rider like Cink, who recently made the top-10 in World Cup, so it was a great show of class and determination.”
Among the women back to winning Elisabeth Osl (Ghost), which ran in the house on a track where he runs courses MTB on his behalf. Second place went to Elisabeth Enaux and third for the returning Sabine Spitz (You bike).
