Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper is packaged as a pen-style liner as lot of eyeliners are these days. The liner has a beautiful design imprinted on it. The name of the liner is also printed in a very different but stylish font.
The unique thing about Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper is its applicator. At a first glance, looks like a felt-tip. But nope, its not. The tip is a brush; actually lot of thin hair are bundled together to form a precise brush tip. Interesting!!! This will prevent the tip to become floppy with regular use.
This fine tip is the game changer for this liner. If you love thin lines, you need this in your life, like NOW!!!
Texture:
Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper has the perfect consistency of a liner. It is not too watery or too thick. It applies super smoothly and dries out very quickly. This ensures that you need not wait for your liner to dry so that you can move on to next step. It dries to an almost matte finish, with a soft shine. The liner does not flake or smudge at all.
Pigmentation:
Too Faced Perfect Eyes Eyeliner in Perfect Black has a decent pigmentation. One swipe might not give you an opaque color, but very close to that. You might need to layer it to get an absolute black on the lids.
Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper is a black liner with a slight glisten. It is not the ultra black that I was hoping for. However, couple of swipes do make the black more intense.
Staying Power:
Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper has staying power out of this world. Unless cleaned by a makeup remover, the liner does not fade or smudges on you. If I wear it for too long, I do see a slight smudginess on my eyes. But thats almost towards the end of an entire day.
Till date, this is the most long wearing eye liner I have ever used. And it gets removed very easily when you don't want it on you. No rubbing the eyes hard to take the liner of.
Final Thoughts:
Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper is quickly becoming my go-to eyeliner. Though I am still a novice in applying a crisp liner, this eyeliner helps me to at least attempt lining my eyes using a liquid liner. I love its convenience, brush applicator, pigmentation and long staying power to officially declare this my almost -HG liner. Only if it was more black!!!
