I Journal U See #2 | Journal Materials Swapping Challenge
Hi IreviewUreaders! I know it's been a long time since my last journal video but I'm finally back with another Journal With Me post. This time I've collaborated with AWalkWithAud to create this post.
In this Journal collaboration, we send each other a small Happy Mail containing a few of our usual journal materials. The challenge is for us to utilize all of these items and create our signature spread. It was such a joy to push the boundaries of my creative juices in this challenge.

The items Audrey mailed to me includes:
Using all of these items, I'll create a spread in my journal. You can watch the full Journal process video on my channel.
Keeping it simple
The first page is more of a clean design. I used the white dolly paper here to highlight the edges and corners of the spread. Additionally, I combined the tag and the twine such that it functions as a bookmark. I pasted part of the envelope to the back of the calendar for it was a little translucent and I wanted to cover what was originally at the back of the journal. Plus, it gives a nice brown border to the element.
The Velum paper was initially an envelope for the materials but I decided to utilize it and add it as a extra page for the spread. I like how it have a see through effects that allows both side to have an impression on what was there. Of course, I have to use my favourite stamping methods to add more details to the tag and the spread.
It's all in the details
I've decided to add a cat sticker behind her name card so that there's a 'Peekaboo' effect when one flip the card. A cute surprise.
The Bohemian Journal Spread
Since the first page was so clean and pristine, I wanted the second page to have a fun Bohemian vibe. Thus, I chose the colours blue, pink and purple and do a quick water colouring method on the dolly papers. I've also added various washi tapes, stickers and snipping from the envelope to this spread.
I love how the spread came out it have a mixed media journal vibe that is a tinge of messiness but not too cramp. It fits my style perfectly and allows me to unleash my creative side without restriction.
Thank you to Audrey for the collaboration. Check out Audrey's video and see how she decorated her Journal spread with the items I've picked out for her!
