Jamon Jamon: Spanish Tapas Bar

By Clo Hutch @lashesoflife

With the rain falling, and the temperature not quite reaching Spanish climates, it wasn’t quite the well known weather for tapas…however what better way to cheer yourselves up on a miserable Tuesday.

The Soho branch of the Jamon Jamon is nestled in a little courtyard just off one of the main roads. Cutely tucked in the corner, with friendly staff and traditional-feel interior this tapas bar has two floors, one for the restaurant and one for their cocktail bar.

Service was relatively quick, and we soon had a glass of Chardonnay in hand, which was refreshing and slightly sweet, with tones of tropical fruits coming through.

Not wanting to over order, four dishes was plenty between the two of us, with my favourites being the Croquetas de Boletus, (Mushroom croquettes) which were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, nicely complimented by the accompanying sauce, and the Bocalao con Tomate with its tender cod and vegetables in a tomato sauce.

There are dessert options, although we were pretty content by the end.

A great little tapas bar with some delicious options. Will definitely be returning to try out their cocktail bar.

I recently became a Tastecard holder (Jamon Jamon accept this if you book), so keep an eye out for more reviews…

Have you been to any great tapas bars?
