A little bit of everything but not too much! It’s a good motto to live by. It also means more room for dessert!
The Crew was close by…
“We’re not begging! Really! We’re not!”
And where is Miss Ellie?
Right under Momma’s chair! Not that Momma feeds her under the table! That would be bad manners.
Today would qualify for a good scooby snack day for them! Earlier they got some giblets (used to make broth for the stuffing) along with some goodies from the table.
As for the rest of us…
We’d say it was all good!
I hope y’all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We started our day rather early. Miss S needed to leave the house by 2 pm. She is Charlotte bound with friends to work at the Operation Christmas Child office. Her youth group has been involved in this program for years. I hate that they leave so early on Thanksgiving Day but…she really enjoys going and helping out.
Everything is cleaned up and put away. The Mister is taking a nap – always a good idea! D is working on the computer. The dogs and cat are snuggling with me on the couch. Turkey broth is cooling on the stove. Thinking about making coffee.
That’s pretty much it.
You know what is my one of my favorite parts of Thanksgiving?
The Leftovers! I won’t have to cook for a few days!
My favorite leftover is a sandwich I make with turkey slices, cranberry jelly, stuffing, mayo on homemade bread. What is your favorite part about Thanksgiving?
