Flapper dress, T-bar shoes, glitzy hairpieces and swing house music, nothing else encapsulates glamorous romance in a more opulent way than the roaring 20′s style, revived by the legendary movie the Great Gatsby.

The Wedding Collective has got together a couple of independent suppliers in the wedding industry to celebrate the Gatsby-inspired romance at its annual Gala Showcase, and I was fortunate enough to be on their guest list.

I’ve always been a keen supporter of individual local brands with big characters and uniqueness. What happens when a few Australian creative minds such as George Wu, Sierra Ramke from The Babushka Ballerina and Wil Valor join forces to paint a picture of Gatsby-inspired love affair? I found myself blinded by spectacular explosion of glitz and glamour, and my heart entrapped by the intricate details of the masterfully designed wedding gowns…
