Despite the rollercoaster of emotions about the iPhone 4S, released by Apple couple of weeks ago, rumours about the next iPad are already franticly circulating. Something that has been improved more and more by Apple .
The rumours trends is that Apple is increasing its production of iPad builds in the next few months.
We all are very anxious about it. Nobody knows for sure how will it look like or which will be the new features, but rumours are giving us a “clearer” picture in the fog.
According to Susquehanna Financial analyst Jeff Fidacaro in a communication to AllThingsDigital, the production of iPad have been increasing lately:
Apple is ramping up its fourth-quarter iPad builds to between 12 and 14 million, from between 11 million and 13 million.
since our last month supply chain checks we are now seeing 600,000 to one million iPad 3 builds showing up on the plan for the fourth quarter of calendar 2011.
With this in mind, this only suggest that Apple is preparing themselves for a launch of the new model around early 2012. Most probably.
March of the iPads
We have to remember that the iPad 2 was launched in March 2011, so it would be pretty normal to asume that its successor would to appear in March 2012. Nevertheless, Don Reisinger at CNET does not agree with this release date. So we are still speculating the release date. In my opinion, it will not be far from that date. So Apple fans, start to cross your fingers.
Fighting the Kindle Fire: iPad Mini Rumour
Apple Insider quoted analyst Brian White suggesting that Apple will be unveiling a lower priced iPad to compete with Amazon’s new table, the Kindle Fire. He said the release would be “mini” in price, not size. Let’s see what happens here.

iPad 3 will contain an “A6” processor, with “four cores instead of the dual-core A5 in the iPad 2”, but this technology wouldn’t be available in an iPad until June 2012. This reinforces the theory that the iPad 3 will not be released in March 2012. Regarding the screen, it is expected to include the Retina Display with a resolution of 2,048 x 1,536 pixels.
Moreover, there is a stronh rumour on a feature: flash player for ipad. In my opinion, this is unlikely to happen due to the effort that Apple has made to Promote HTML5 over the iPad.
One more thing! Apple is really interested in Near Field Communication and so the latest tablet is expected to include an NFC chip.
