Hey everyone. I finally made my Inglot debut on my last visit to Mumbai in May. I ha been wanting to try Inglot for the longest time now, but I didnt want to buy anything online. I first wanted to see the products up close so finally when I got the chance I got the INGLOT FREEDOM SYSTEM RAINBOW EYESHADOW 102 and a blush, ya thats about my first purchase with the husband giving me looks to hurry up while my toddler decided to be at her naughtiest best at the store, so this is all I could manage from my long list. Anyways enough of my cribbing lets jump right in to the review.
Price: 450/- INR . You are supposed to buy an empty palette along with your purchase of any freedom system products, but I escaped that saying I already have an Inglot empty palette.
INGLOT FREEDOM SYSTEM RAINBOW EYESHADOW 102 :
I have been on the hunt for a matte brown which is red toned and works well on the crease. Basically I was looking for an eyeshadow which is neutral and will serve as a transition color between crease to the highlight shade. As soon as I saw this I knew I had to take this.
TEXTURE: All the three shades in the trio are matte, but the finish is semi matte its more like soft satin matte finish not flat matte which I prefer over a flat matte eyeshadow since they turn out to be more chalky.
COLOR: The 3 colors go from light to medium to dark, though the darkest shade is also a mid tone red brown. Its a small neutral palette, you can create a day time soft smokey neutral look with this small trio.
The lightest color is a soft peachy brown eyeshadow perfect for applying all over the lid. Though if you have pigmented lids then I would suggest you apply it over a white base like NYX jumbo eye pencil in Milk.
The second color is a medium brown with peach undertones perfect for the crease. It acts as a transition color between the crease color and the highlight shade while doing a heavy smokey eye, its the perfect eyeshadow to create that smokey effect of the eyeshadows blending into nothingness.. if that is a word.
The third shade is a medium brown eyeshadow with red undertones, my favorite among the three. I like to use this in the crease and also on the outer corner.
I also like to just swirl the brush into the three shades together and it creates for a warm red tone crease color. The staying power is nice even without a primer, but I dont ever use eyeshadows without a primer. Because of its texture and finish and easy blending ability, it also is a nice blush/bronze option.
I am so loving it and I am soon trying out more Inglot products for sure. Next I shall be reviewing a blush I got from Inglot. Here is the EOTD I did using the Inglot Freedom System Rainbow Eyeshadow Trio 102.
I am in the process of writing my skin care post, so look out for that as well. Until next time…
