I am exceedingly obliged to Guido Fawkes, at least, I think I am despite the fact that he made me feel rather unwell earlier today when I read his financial analysis of the latest example of Green dementia. I heard the news reader mention on the radio this morning (as I was on my way to the swimming pool, have I . . . alright, no need to shout!) that the government were about to unveil some Greenie projects to do with so-called renewable energy. Later I discovered what they were and which particular swivel-eyed loon was behind them. Yes, indeed, who else but Mr. Ed 'Dafty' Davey MP (il-Lib-non-Dem).
I will leave you to mooch miserably through Guido's facts and figures although if you are paying taxes in the UK I do not advise it. Frankly I think 'Dafty' Davey should be arrested for inciting violence - against himself, that is! Anyway, the essence of the matter is that all the subsidies added together come to - at this point consider pouring yourself a stiff scotch - £1.4 billion a year!
