Impossible Quiche

I had never baked a quiche before because I always assumed it was time consuming, having to prepare the crust first and blind bake it before going on to the filling; cooking it and then bake again with the crust...that's what a normal kind of quiche was prepared right?

Well, recently I was surfing around at taste.com.au and came across a quiche recipe that did not require all the time consuming steps to prepare...and also it was crustless and only had 7 ingredients including salt and pepper! How cool was that! And the method was as simple as 1, 2, 3! Sounds too good to believe huh! I thought so too and therefore just had to try it out just to proof the recipe worked!:D

It was so moist and delicious, really got me floored:D Here's the recipe:-

Impossible Quiche
adapted from taste.com.au

125g ham, chopped - I used 175g of German meat loaf
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 1/2 cups (180g) grated tasty cheese - I used 200g of cheddar cheese
1/3 cup (50g) self-raising flour
Salt & freshly ground pepper, to season
4 eggs
1 1/2 cups (375ml) milk

Method:
Step 1
Preheat oven to 200°C. Grease a 5 cup(I used a 10" pie dish and did not grease it at all!) capacity pie dish.

Step 2

Step 3
Whisk eggs and milk together in a large jug and pour over ham (meatloaf) mixture. Cook for about 40 minutes or until puffed and golden. Cool slightly. Serve warm or cold.
