The 12th IAU World 24 Hour Running Championships with Schneider Electric takes place with the Energia24 Open Race in Victoria Park, Belfast on July 1, 2017. The event will also include the Irish National Championships.
After a successful trial run in Victoria Park in 2016, the race is set to be a very special occasion. The event has a new website and is planning an evening in the Skainos Centre, Newtownards Rd, Belfast on Monday, March 13th from 6-8pm to talk about the World 24-hr Champs. It's aimed at the local community and the evening is an opportunity for volunteers to sign up to help out at the Championships and be a part of ultrarunning history. There'll be tea, buns and Eoin Keith, the current Irish National 24 Hour Champion - talking about the secrets to ultra running success.
