I was recently approached by Element Hair to come in for a complimentary hair cut, treatment and blow dry, I didn't get my hair coloured as I don't color my hair. Going to a new hair salon can be scary, putting my trust in a new hairdresser can be extremely nerve racking for me as I have had some real scary haircuts in the past! But I decided to take the chance, and all of those nerves were totally unwarranted, my end result is nothing short of amazing (if I do say so myself!).
Element Hair prides itself on being one of Sydney's best destinations for hair. They are situated in Woollhara and specialise in balayage, blonde highlights, color and curly hair.
First impressions are nothing but good, on arrival I found myself in a rather private space with a classy and clean atmosphere. I was welcomed with the choice of a glass of red or white (loved this touch). It was raining and cold out, so the choice was obvious; red thanks! The staff are friendly and you can tell that this salon is all about their clients!My appointment was with the lovely Lauren. Consultation was easy and Lauren actually listened to what I wanted and worked with me to talk through what we could do with my hair to achieve the best results. The washing bay is in a beautiful small room off to the back of the salon, an aesthetically pleasant environment for hair washing, I must say! The lights were dimmed and a gorgeous chandelier hangs above and a beautiful textured monotone wall opposite, for you to gaze at while you get that amazing head massage you hang out for!Lauren used Kevin Murphy products on me and talked me through what she was using excitedly, rather than pushing them on me or pressuring me to buy. If there is one thing I hate, it's going to a hair or beauty salon for a treatment and feeling as though I am being pressed or just expected to buy something. If I want product advice on a product I feel I need I'll ask!My hair is amazing! It feels lighter, has so much more body (ironic because we thinned about 50% of my hair out) and movement. My hair is also way more manageable. Since my cut I have had endless compliments on my hair and I love how it looks and feels!
The End Result:
I cannot recommend this salon and Lauren enough. I am not one to spend much on a hair cut because I never really got amazing results, and couldn't justify it. But this experience really opened my eyes as to what is possible to achieve with an EXTRA GOOD hair cut and that it is worth while in spending a little extra.
