I thought it was quite helpful seeing what to eat every day. There was definitely a lot more variety of dishes than I ever thought there would be. Not sure what now...? I am going to try and keep on track with low-carb eating. Thank you for all your suggestions on how to eat low carb.
I am not sure. but since the two weeks started I really haven't moved the scale much. My husband has said he sees a small difference in my weight but the scales haven't moved very much. I will keep trying.

Here are my thoughts on the challenge.I was worried at first about eating so much fat but I'm so pleased that I stuck with the plan. I lost 6 lbs (3 kg) in total and 4.5 inches (11 cm) overall, results I probably could only have hoped for on any other diet I have tried. I did have wine and didn't do any exercise last week so I know I could probably have achieved even better results!
I have felt tired and a bit 'flu' like over the past two weeks but I was also fighting a cold so not sure it was all down to the diet.
I haven't felt the energy boost just yet but I'm convinced it will come! I have only eaten when hungry and I have found the meals very satisfying. The recipes are easy to follow and the whole family has been eating them with me, I've just adapted them a little for those who don't want to forgo their carbs!
The shopping lists are great and the food is ultra tasty. I'm planning to stay on the keto diet for now as I would like to lose another 14 lbs (6 kg) so I've registered to become a member and I'm looking forward to being part of the community.
Thank you!
Kind regards,
JudithI stumbled across the Diet Doctor website after being told about a keto diet by a very good friend of mine, and thought "what the heck, why not give it a go", after all what do I have to lose... Oh yeah FAT!!
I have just finished week 2 of the LCHF diet and feel really great. I have been over weight and suffered with high blood pressure and a general malaise for many years and have tried lots of different things to change this to no avail. As I approach a milestone birthday in August, I have been on a mission this year to change my lifestyle and therefore my life for the better. I stumbled across the Diet Doctor website after being told about a keto diet by a very good friend of mine, and thought "what the heck, why not give it a go", after all what do I have to lose... Oh yeah FAT!!Anyway as I said, I have just finished the first two weeks and coincidentally had an appointment with my GP to check my BP, which by the way has gone from regularly being about 145/85-90 down to 104/78!! AND I have lost 4.5 kg (10 lbs). Needless to say this has motivated me to keep going and I have signed up for a membership to your program. My goal is to lose another 20 kg (44 lbs) and to be free of BP medication.
As far as changing anything on your website for better or worse, I have yet to fully navigate myself through all that you offer so cannot make any suggestions at this time, I will however say that I so love reading the inspirational stories of other successful LCHF devotees.
Thank you to the "Diet Doctor" and all who are involved in your organisation.
Cheers,
Hello Andreas,
GinnyI am seeing results with the low-carb eating that gives me hope that I can finally maintain a healthy weight.
This is an exciting time for me. I am seeing results with the low carb eating that gives me hope that I can finally maintain a healthy weight. My weight has been a lifetime challenge. I have recently retired (June 2016) and was discouraged about having to lose weight once again. LCHF eating gives me hope that I will finally be able keep the weight off. Your site was recommended by a neighbour who is LCHF and recommended your Diet Doctor site as the best place to start. I am 60 years old. I started your 2-week challenge 10 weeks ago and I am happy with a 10 lbs (5 kg) loss, considering my learning curve and I have not been active I am going to continue LCHF.A few things I have learned to date:
- After watching the sugar addiction course and taking the quiz, I was faced with the reality that sugar is a big problem. I though I could have some occasionally but at this time I do not trust myself to have sugar of any kind.
- Measuring my vegetables to assure my carbs stay under 20 is important for me. I had no idea what 100 grams of broccoli or other vegetables looked like.
- Your visual charts are a wonderful help as well as the courses, movies and interview and recipes.
I would like to thank you and your team for your dedication; helping us improve our health and for advocating on behalf of the diabetes epidemic that is upon us.
Sincerely,
All I can say is wow!!! I lost 3 kg (7 lbs) in two weeks! I am 64 and have been on countless diets all my life. Yes, I had one awful day where I actually vomited but didn't feel sick - just massive headache! I had a cup of broth and was much better. This is fantastic way to eat - I am never hungry and meals are quick to prepare and delicious. I have joined up as a full member - where else would you get the whole package of support to get healthy for $9 - thank you!!
