HP’s Chromebox to Arrive This Spring

Posted on the 07 February 2014 by Anna Peterson

Following in the footsteps of Dell, Samsung and Asus, HP revealed its own Chromebox device this week. Designed as a desktop replacement, the HP Chromebox will allow you to browse the web and load and access Google apps (e.g. Gmail and Google Drive).

HP's new device, the Chromebox.

The HP Chromebox will come in four colours.

The HP Chromebox will measure only five inches and will be really easy to set up, so you’ll have no problem attaching it to the back of your monitor or mounting it on your wall if you do not wish to keep it on your desk. You’ll even be able to carry the HP Chromebox with you when you go on a vacation because it will fit into your travel bag. It will come in handy in meetings, too, according to HP.

In terms of connectivity, the HP Chromebox will come with four USB 3.0 ports, a HDMI port, DisplayPort and Bluetooth. HP still hasn’t said anything about the internal parts of its Chromebox, but it will most likely have a 4th generation Intel Core i7 processor.

The company will be launching the device this spring in the US and there are still no pricing details available.
