Ingredients
- 1 cup cubed Paneer
- 2 tbsp Oil (divided)
- 1/2 tsp of Nigells seeds
- 1/2 tsp of Cumin seeds
- 1 cup sliced Onions
- 1 tsp minced Ginger
- 1 tsp minced Garlic
- 3/4 tsp red Chilli powder
- 2 tsp Coriander powder
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 cup sliced green Capsicum
- 1/2 cup sliced Carrot
- 1 cup crushed Tomatoes
- 1/2 cup cubed ripe Tomatoes
- 1 tsp of garam Masala
- One pinch of kasuri Methi
How to make Paneer Jalfrezi
Step 1: Heat oil in a pan, then fry the paneer until golden brown on all sides. Set aside. Step 2: Heat oil in a pan, add the cumin seeds and kalonji. Step 3: Add onion and saute until turns translucent. Step 4: Add ginger and garlic, and saute until becomes fragrant. Step 5: Add chilli powder, coriander powder and turmeric powder and mix well. Step 6: Add crushed canned tomato, carrots, capsicum and one cup of water, then cook covered until vegetables become tender. Step 7: Add paneer and cubed tomato, then mix well and simmer until the gravy turns fairly thick. Step 8: Afterwards, add kasuri methi, garam masala and salt, then again mix well.
