Smoothies are one of the many beverages you can easily make yourself almost anywhere and all you need to do that is a blender. Combine with all the fresh fruits and vegetables together and you can give yourself a good boost in the morning or simply quenching your thirst on a hot day.
The Strawberries and Mint smoothie is a drink that is thick, strawberry-ly flavoured with a tinge of mint freshness. Together with the ease of preparation, this smoothie will definitely be one of the beverage you will prepare often. Here’s how:
Ingredients (serves 2 glassful):
- 300g ripe strawberries, hulled.
- 4 tablespoons of plain yoghurt.
- 2 teaspoons of finely chopped mint.
- 1-2 teaspoons honey or sugar.
Method:
- Put all ingredients into the blender and blend it altogether. No sequence needed.
- Serve right away.
If you can’t get sweet strawberries, add in the appropriate sugar or honey to sweetness. Don’t worry, the strawberries flavour will still be there. I personally added honey because it is healthier compared to sugar. I’m using clear honey here. If you find your smoothie is not smoothie-thick enough, add in a few more tablespoons of plain yoghurt. I actually added 2 more on top of the recipe above. It all depends on the outcome. Cheers!
