Hotel of the Month: Hotel Seven, Paris

By Thehoneymoonproject @thehoneymoonpro

My love of Paris is no secret – it’s where my husband proposed, and we visit at least twice a year – and I’m always excited to find out about hotels that are offering something a little bit different in this timeless city. After hearing about Hotel Seven on Liberty London Girl, I was absolutely intrigued by this interesting-sounding hotel, and so I’m delighted to present it to you today as my hotel of the month.

Less than two years old, Hotel Seven has just 35 rooms – making it luxurious yet intimate – and has been designed to “make an impression on all of the senses”, whether it’s through the vaulted cellar that is both wine bar and breakfast room, or the suspended baths and beds that appear to levitate up to two feet off the ground. Sure, the futuristic feel of the rooms may not be to everyone’s taste, but if you’re looking for something to temper to grandeur and often cool elegance of Haussmann’s Paris, or want to eskew the more traditional style of the city’s grande dames, then this is the perfect choice.

The hotel’s showpiece is undoubtedly the seven suites which have been created by four different designers, offering absolutely quirky and individual surroundings – from Black Diamond, with itsSwarovski jewelled bath, to the playful Alice (in Wonderland). Pick of the bunch for honeymooners has to be the Lovez-Vous, with its retro-inspired round bed, cowhide bath, and private terrace with a jacuzzi that’s just perfect for two.

Hotel of the month: Hotel Seven, Paris

Situated in the 5th arrondissment, Hotel Seven is just steps away from the Latin Quarter, not to mention countless bars and restaurants, and is ideally placed for spending sunny afternoons in the beautiful Luxembourg Gardens. This is a great location from which to explore the city – Paris is best seen on foot, and it’s an easy walk from here to many of the major sights, including Notre Dame, the Louvre, and the Musée d’Orsay.

Rooms from €167 a night; suites from €367 a night. To book, visit the hotel’s website.
